Behavior and Compatibility:

Black Rams are known for their peaceful and somewhat territorial nature, especially during breeding. They are generally compatible with other small, non-aggressive fish. A well-planted aquarium with plenty of hiding spots, such as driftwood, rocks, and caves, helps create a comfortable environment. Keeping them in pairs or small groups can encourage natural social behavior and reduce stress.

Aquarium Requirements:

To accommodate Black Rams, a well-planted aquarium of at least 20 gallons is recommended. The water should be maintained at a temperature of 78-85°F (25-29°C) with a pH level of 5.5-7.0. Soft, slightly acidic water conditions are ideal. Good filtration and regular water changes are essential to maintain water quality and ensure the health of these delicate fish.
